Tickled Yellow with my Content Day of Mellow

  Today, I wrote in my planner and I thought, ”What a beautiful day.”  I took in that moment while the sun shone upon my antique carnival glass chicken. I gazed upon my peaceful apartment while Jack Johnson sang mellow tunes. While this moment moved over my soul, children could be heard laughing and playing outside. ”Tag! You're it!” I felt like them, carefree and free to run with harmony in my heart. My spirit became mellow sunny yellow. I felt at ease and content. 

I am not saying this because I am in need, for I have learned to be content whatever the circumstances. I know what it is to be in need, and I know what it is to have plenty. I have learned the secret of being content in any and every situation, whether well fed or hungry, whether living in plenty or in want. I can do all this through him who gives me strength. - Philippians 4:11-13

The sun makes me content. Just seeing the ray of beauty on my coffee table makes me feel tickled yellow. I know that whenever lightening and thunder strike in my life, the sun will always move the dark cloud aside. It will sing ”hallelujah!” and rise in the sky. 

Paul examined contentment. Most of his life was spent in prison writing to different churches. If he could be content chained to a wall, we should be overly content looking upon the sun shining through our window. When we are pleased with pleasant moments a simple joy beams within us. 

When you're content with simplicity, you'll learn to have a sound mind through trials.

So, are you having a good glowing day today? Soak in that sun ray upon your coffee table. 

Are you having a bad day? Is your day like a badger clawing havoc? Be content and of sound mind - Ladies and gentlemen, the sun will always come out and shine.

Last night my husband and I ate at our favorite Mexican restaurant. We chatted and laughed as the colorful decor listened to our conversation. When we were done exploring each other’s day over tortilla chips and queso, we walked to the counter to pay our bill. As the waitress took our payment she asked if we were on a date. Pine Heart Roots
